LA BELLE COMMUNITY FOOTBALL LEAGUE

The La Belle Community Football League is the newest and most competitive minor league football organization in The Nation. The LCFL provides skilled football players a forum to display and refine their skills as they make an attempt to reach a professional level of the sport. Made up of the some of the best teams and talent on the West Coast & East Coast, the LCFL has attracted the attention of several professional leagues and has successfully graduated several players to professional teams throughout the U.S.

In the LCFL inaugural year in 2005, it saw it's first ever East vs West Coast Championship which displayed the Long Beach Lions representing the West while the East Coast came with a combination of players from teams on the East Coast. The game was played at historic Veterans Memorial Stadium in Long Beach California. The East Coast walked away with a hard fought and narrow victory, 10-9. In 2006, the LCFL National Champion shifted to the West Coast as the Inglewood Blackhawks defeated the Philadelphia Panthers by the score of 20-14.

The LCFL was established in 2003 by Damascene Pierre Paul. Paul originally started the league in the Philadelphia, PA area to give young men the opportuntiy to keep playing the game they love. Legendary entertainer and philanthropist Patti LaBelle endorses thie league by lending her name and likeness which she supports by being visibly involved in the interactions with the league. Other league supporters include former NFL football player and NBC anchor Maurice Spencer, Ray Lewis of the Baltimore Ravens, Adalius Thomas of the New England Patriots, Terrell Owens of the Dallas Cowboys, Reggie Bush of the New Orleans Saints, Donovan McNabb of the Philadelphia Eagles, Az Hakim of the Miami Dolphins and Mark Clayton also of the Baltimore Ravens. These NFL greats support the LCFL, and are currently working together to create a minor league community football system that is nationally recognized. With Philadelphia as the Mecca, the league has now established a region in the Western United States in Southern California. The LCFL hopes to become a nationwide organization that helps empower its players, and give positive representation to their communities. The LCFL will slowly expand and establish additional regions. States that have shown great interest are Nevada, Utah, Louisiana, Georgia, Washington, and Texas.

The LCFL which has recently added the alliance of the RAFL for the 2007 season, currently has a total of 37 teams with 21 teams representing the West Coast and 16 representing the East Coast. Those numbers look to grow in the near future with interest from the aforementioned states.

The LCFL are not only endorsed by NFL & current NFL players, but they are sponsored by some of the best known companies around. Mozaic Entertainment, which does feature films, is one of the biggest sponsors to partake a vested interest in the LCFL. Bring It Hard Energy Drink, Marriot Hotels, and American Airlines have recently added great discounts and ammenities which has offset many of the cost of the league. We look for a strong healthy relationship with them in the coming years.
