The LCFL made a major power move Saturday by joining forces with the North American Football League (NAFL) for a dual alliance. Each respective league will continue to keep it's identity and same format. Nothing changes but the fact that the LCFL West will now play in their playoff system after our own playoffs. The NAFL is the largest minor league football league in the entire U.S. With this dual alliance, it allows for the LCFL West to participate in the NAFL National Playoff system. With the FWFA in limbo, this will still give the LCFL representation on a national stage. Not only will this format allow our champion to participate in the National Playoffs, but it may allow for our #2 and #3 seeded teams to be involved as well depending on there record and ranking. One of the perks of playing in the NAFL National Playoffs is when you make it to the 3rd, 4th, and National Championship game, you will be granted a stipend for travel. 3rd round you receive up to $5,000, 4th round you receive another stipend up to $5,000, and Championship game you receive $15,000. | |
